(Deaf missionary report – translated from Sign Language to English)
God really works in mysterious ways! We never planned this, but God did have a purpose for all our translation team members.
Many say they are learning NEW things everyday. They are learning how they will train leaders in their home country.
Former DOOR-Africa graduates are saying stories are ALIVE unlike when they were just memorizing. This is because they have to WORK HARD to “craft” the stories. When they don’t understand, trainers and “gate” people are there to help them understand the concepts of the stories.
It has been a LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL!
Many struggles and Satan’s attacks often:
Most of the time electricity goes off when we are half way or when we just want to start. Disagreements sometimes occurred and translators/students felt confused. Family sickness and other domestics problems occurred.
Now we have learned it is only God and prayer taking us through each step. Every Thursday morning we have DOOR-Africa staff prayer meetings. For the first time it has been consistent. I am humbled to say this year has taught us on how to support each other in times of need. Our prayer is that the translators/students will carry on even after DOOR.
