What if your pastor, Sunday School teacher, small group leader, or you yourself had no Bible? For millions of Deaf people around the world, this is a fact. In their “heart language” -- Sign Language -- they have no Bible, nor do any of the pastors or teachers who want to teach them.
DOOR has carefully selected 112 chronological Bible stories to translate, in partnership with Wycliffe International, into the Sign Languages of many countries. These signed stories will then be put on DVDs and made available to Deaf people.
Each of these Scripture passages, or stories, when completed, will have an introduction which will explain religious or cultural key terms, show maps, give illustrations and clarify names of people and places.
Deaf people will be able to use these selected Scriptures for personal Bible study, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship meetings, and leadership development.
