Boniface "Bonnie" Ndunga

Hearing KenyanBoniface
DOOR-Africa, Nairobi, Kenya
Office Assistant

Bonnie was born in central Kenya.  He has a twin brother and they grew up doing everything together.  He also has a younger sister.

In 1997 he joined a Kenyan hearing church.  He has served his church in various capacities.  In 1998, Bonnie and others founded the Goodwill Community Centre to work with disadvantaged women and children in the Kanjeru slums.  Later, in 2001, he joined United Disabled Persons of Kenya, which is the umbrella organization dealing with issues of Persons With Disabilities.  He feels the African people's views of persons with disabilities needs to change.  He embraces the Deaf community's view that the Deaf are primarily a distinct cultural/linguistic group.

By joining DOOR-Africa DCLTC (Deaf Christian Leadership Training Center), Bonnie feels God has given him the opportunity to work with a significant linguistic cultural group, a people with great potential and talent. Bonnie is invaluable in the office and has a servant heart.
